Week Nine (to be continued)

 For the Duke Children's Hospital ad we were given a website to research and create an advertisment for the most difficult thing here would've been the shield, the nature of the curves inside the shield were annoying

Week Eight

 

The Bison skull was done in Illustrator with the pen tool. We needed to make a vector image and i figured that a bison skull would look pretty cool and in the end I think it turned out well.

 

For the above image we needed to choose a phrase and create a design for it. I chose the line "We do what we must because we can" from the game Portal because its random.  The image in the background was made in Illustrator and the text and scanlines were set in Photoshop.

Week Seven

    The above image I made in Photoshop as an abstract pattern project.  I used more filters in it than I normally like to, but I think it turned out okay.  I cut out the morning glory flowers and the rose stems from some different images, filtered them then put them on a pink background.

  This image was made in the same class as the previous image, it uses a Japanese print of peacock feathers with an outer glow, a water-top image with a purple color balance, and a fire image with a green balance, and a low opacity.  These two images are hopefully the most pink I will ever use again.

Week Six

   The above was made for something kind of like an inspirational poster, the art was done in Illustrator then it was brought into Photoshop for various effects, the only problem I had in this project was the perspective, but I think I got it alright in the end.

   The above project was done completely in Illustrator, the name for this type of design eludes me at the moment, but it was a fun project my favorite is the third one on the end.

Week Five

    This design i did in class for a package design project, I did the character in illustrator and brought him into photoshop to touch him up and do the plastic effect on the box.

    For this project we had to redesign a magazine cover, i chose the Left4Dead edition of the official Xbox Magazine.  I created the characters and zombies, as well as the Xbox 360 logo in Illustrator and added the depth of field in Photoshop

Week Four

    I designed this banner for a website my friends and I put together a little over two years ago in Adobe Flash.  The original version had the question mark design spinning in a loop, but the site wouldn't support flash so i just took the first frame and mad it into the banner.

    For the above design we had to choose a company online and redesign the logo.  I found this company called otter box and decided to work with it.  The otter is vector art and was all done in Illustrator.
